Developing and practicing new leadership skills at work is the objective of SOAR. We encourage the application of these skills outside of work as well. To that end, we have established the Young Women L.E.A.D. Conference, which gives SOAR members another outlet for practicing their new skills. Giving back to your community is another way to add-value as a leader.
The Conference
Young Women L.E.A.D. is an all day leadership conference for high school girls focusing on Leadership, Education and Development. The purpose of the conference is to empower high school girls to embrace their strengths and to reach their full potential. The all day session features nationally recognized women who share their own insights on real life issues and how to overcome them to achieve successful and meaningful careers. The conference also provides an opportunity for the teens to connect to and learn from local female business leaders.
These conferences are currently hosted on a yearly basis in 4 cities: Cincinnati, Ohio, Evansville, Indiana, Lexington, Kentucky and Louisville, Kentucky.
