Workshops
SOAR offers a number of workshops that are available to member companies who wish to provide professional development opportunities for their associates. The following is a listing of addition workshops and a short description of each available from SOAR.
Professional Protocol
What are protocols? Protocols are simply the forms of etiquette observed by members of an organization and define the “norms”. In today’s often fiercely competitive marketplace, subtleties such as good manners, proper office protocols and respect for others can mean the difference between winning and losing. Workshop topics range from “hands-on” dining etiquette to understanding the nuances of the genderless workplace, technology etiquette, office decorum, social skills and more.
Personal Brand Strategies for Success
If you don’t brand yourself, someone else will. Taking some of the same branding strategies that work successfully for large corporations, this workshop will equip participants with the tools to develop their own unique personal brand for success. Complimenting the brand strategies discussed is a focus area on dress and personal image.
Customer Service
Customer Service is really about building excellence into all that a company does for its customers. Every touch point is an opportunity to strengthen the company brand. However, most companies get it wrong. This workshop explores the concept of service excellence, identifies the five main drivers of sustainable success and demonstrates how to deliver on your company’s service value proposition.
Time Management
Time management is somewhat of a misnomer as time passes without regard to what an individual is doing. An individual getting 7 of sleep at night is left with 119 hours per week to do everything that needs to be done. This workshop explore how best to manage oneself in order to maximize that 119 hours. It also explores the good and bad of multi-tasking. A personal time management system is offered customized to each participant.
When There’s No Time For Team Building
In addition to the regular SOAR team building session in the SOAR curriculum, SOAR offers an advanced, intensive, four day and three night, off-site team building event. The focus of the session is on leadership, team building and communication which is designed to set the cornerstones of a monolithically unified team. After the event, SOAR staff continue to monitor the team monthly for six months to ensure that the team utilizes all the learning experiences captured during the four days.

Executive Coaching
Individualized executive coaching focuses on highlighting an individual’s self-awareness of their workplace behaviors and how those behaviors influence and affect themselves and others at work. Coaching includes a coaching agreement which identifies specific behaviors that need to be strengthened or modified to improve workplace effectiveness and an action plan for implementation. Length of engagements vary from three meetings to longer to as many as a dozen.
Building A Great Place to Work
Utilizing the SOAR proprietary “Better to Best™ Workplace Model,” SOAR assesses the foundational elements in your company or organization that either drive or impede becoming a great place to work. From this assessment, SOAR prescribes various optional course of action.
SOAR has consulted with many companies who have achieved “Great Place to Work” status in their states.
